Quality skills training is provided by registered training organisation Forsythes Training, with practical work placement to contextualise the training. Those successfully completing the initial training will be able to apply for a scholarship that provides paid, part time or casual, employment and the opportunity to complete a nationally accredited Certificate lV in Training & Assessment Education (TAE40116).

This program is ideal for displaced or redundant workers or skilled tradespeople looking for a new challenge.

The Hunter is facing a shortage of trainers and assessors in a range of sectors including Community Services, Health, Pathology Services, Nursing, Construction, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, surveying, Engineering, Automotive (heavy and light vehicle), Manufacturing, IT. The growth in sectors requiring trainers and assessors means there are good employment opportunities for people with the right skills and experience.

The new program is a government and industry partnership developed by Training Services NSW, TAFE NSW, RDA Hunter, the NSW Department of Employment, Department of Defence, VERTO and Forsythes Training.
